5 Things to Do in Florida

If you’re looking for a place to visit in the US that’s going to guarantee you some beautiful weather, lots of awesome sights and a huge range of things to do then look no further than Florida.

Kennedy Space Center Visitor’s Complex:

This features highly on bucket lists around the world and it’s easy to see why. The Kennedy Space Centre is, in effect, an interactive, high tech museum built to draw out everyone’s inner geek. And there’s no hiding it here, wide eyed adults and kids wander from room to room in awe of the things on show. Unreal.

Wowzer. This is every kids’ (read: my) dream. Orlando is the Mecca for all things theme-park. As if SeaWorld and Universal Studios weren’t enough, they hit you with Disneyland Florida – enough to send any kid (or big kid) biserk! Grab yourself some Disney tickets and see Mickey Mouse in his full glory. Yes please.

Daytona International Speedway:

After visiting your inner child with your Disney expedition it’s time to earn back some man points again, and there are few better places to do that than the Daytona International Speedway. Hosted on the awesome Daytona beach, when NASCAR comes to town, this place goes crazy, so go crazy with them.

Everglades National Park:

Cartoon characters, science, speed junkies – time for a well earned break my friends, and I have just the thing for you. The Evergladed National Park is arguably the USA’s finest. The UNESCO world heritage site gives a strong clue to how amazing the scenery is, but at a mere $5 entry, go and check it out yourself.

One for the backpackers and partygoers here. Miami beach is a year long party, and it’s the place to be seen in the daytime, but there’s only so much ogling you can do in broad daylight. Once the sun sets though, this place rocks. The whole city buzzes and thanks to the amount of tourists, every night is a party night.
