I think everyone should visit some of Orlando’s theme parks at least once in their lifetime because it’s a holiday you’ll never forget and one that the whole family can enjoy. I have put together a list of my 3 favourite things to do in Orlando. Have your best roller coaster shoes at the ready because I am sure you’ll be booking your holiday sooner than you expected.

Walt Disney World

Walt Disney World is undeniably the king of theme parks. You need to do you research before you arrive – this enormous complex can take a lot of planning to get around it without a hitch. There are 4 parks in total at Walt Disney World -Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, The Magic Kingdom,  and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. If time is short then I recommend that you head straight for the Magic Kingdom, it’s the place for a true classic Disney experience.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter

A trip here feels like you have stepped right in to a Harry Potter movie. You’ll have the chance to head off to Hogwarts, gulp on some tasty Butterbeer and then stroll around the shops. There are a number of great rides to try out; Dumbledore’s office, Dragon Challenge and Flight of the Hippogriff. I loved the traditional British food served up at the Three Broomsticks, head over to the Hogs Head if you need to quench your thirst with some pumpkin juice.

Legoland

This is Florida’s latest addition to it’s list of theme parks. It is ideal for creative kids and adults that want to take a step back in time to experience a childhood favourite toy. The park is spread out across 150 acres and has an amazing 50 rides to try out plus various shows throughout the day. As I was walking around Legoland I couldn’t believe qhat they had been able to build using Lego – you’ll see everything from medieval castles to pirates.

Let me know if you agree with the list above, if you’ve  been there before I’d love to hear what rides you loved most!
